Construction Resources a Green Team Member on Eco-friendly Cobb County Home

Construction Resources, Inc., demonstrates their continued commitment to the environment and to the community as a proud partner of Greenhaven, an eco-friendly Cobb county home that will carry multiple green building certifications and showcase the latest in green building techniques, sustainable design, state-of-the-art-technology, and energy efficiency. Construction Resources is an all-inclusive provider of the best in home construction needs, such as stone, fireplaces, tubs, windows and doors for residential and commercial home builders and remodelers. The company recently donated $24,000 in fabrication and installation of countertops, shower doors and bath mirrors in the home.

In addition to shower doors and bath mirrors in all baths in the home, Construction Resources installed environmentally-friendly Cambria natural quartz countertops for the kitchen and all baths. Cambria is a stain resistant, nonporous surface that is stronger, harder and easier to care for than other stone surfaces. Cambria is certified by NSF International as safe for use as a food preparation surface. Produced in the United States, Cambria surfaces have a lower carbon footprint than others, requiring less transportation and carbon resources in route to market. Cambria is GREENGUARD for Children and Schools® certified and GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. Cambria also does not contain formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds or radon emissions.

Greenhaven, built by Pace Homebuilders, is located in the Chelsea Landing subdivision and will carry the US Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), EneryStar, EarthCraft, American Lung Association Health House, and National Wildlife Foundation’s Backyard Wildlife Habitat certifications. Bringing together industry-leading local talent, Pace Homebuilders creates the ultimate 'Green Team' of top Atlanta decorators, local vendors, consultants, and landscape architects, to transform the house into a widely recognized green building model for designers, builders, and homeowners.

Slated for completion in July 2009, Greenhaven will be open to the public for tours July 10 to August 9. Proceeds from public tours of the home will benefit the Upper Chattahoochee River Keeper’s Fund. For more information, visit
