Atlanta 50+ Housing Council Board of Directors Announces New Members

The Atlanta 50+ Housing Council, part of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors. The 50+ Council recently appointed Anresa Davis and Laura Carroll to the Board.

Anresa Davis currently serves as vice president of sales and marketing for Isakson-Barnhart Co., LLC, Georgia’s leading developer of award-winning residential communities for individuals 55 and older. Having joined the Isakson-Barnhart team in 2000, Davis played a major role in transforming both Isakson-Barnhart developments, Park Springs and Peachtree Hills Place, from ideas to construction sites to bustling residential communities. Davis spends her time personally meeting with interested members and planning and carrying out special events for current members. After working as a nurse for 25 years, she understands the need to take care of clients, whether it’s in an emergency room or in a community activity room.

Laura Carroll, the second new member to be appointed to the Board, is an account manager at Idea Associates, an award-winning marketing and branding company based in north Atlanta. Carroll began working with Idea Associates in 2002 and has since helped generate several award-winning marketing and advertising campaigns for residential communities across the Southeast. She is also an active member of the Housing Committee for the Urban Land Institute.

“We are thrilled to the welcome the addition of two accomplished and qualified individuals,” stated 2008 50+ Council Board Chair Melody Baker. “Both experts in their fields, Anresa and Laura will bring a fresh and energetic perspective to the Board.”

In addition to welcoming two new members to the Board, the 50+ Council Executive Board nominated current board member Jim Chapman, to serve as secretary of the Executive Board. Chapman, owner and founder of Jim Chapman Communities, is experienced in the 50+ market, having overseen the development of five successful communities for those age 55 and older in the Atlanta area.

“The success of Jim Chapman Communities has marked Chapman as both a leader and innovator in the 50+ market, and we are sure that Jim will be a valuable asset to the Executive Committee, helping us to continue to lead the 50+ Council in the right direction,” said Betsy Sheppard, 50+ Council treasurer and communications committee chair.
