Atlanta based builder, Highlight Homes, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of development company Vesmont, LC, known for building unique homes in desirable locations with thoughtful, environmentally-conscious planning, has made the decision to expand its portfolio and enter the upper-tier building market with its newest luxury home in Buckhead on North Stratford Road. The addition of this one of a kind, Stephen Fuller designed Buckhead home, will complement Highlight Homes existing offerings in Newnan, Georgia at The Cottages at Stillwood and in Lilburn, Georgia at the eco-friendly lifestyle community, TerraSol.
“Highlight Homes has proven to be knowledgeable and successful building a variety of high quality home styles and plans at prices that are reasonable and affordable for the area,” said Lawrence Kasmen, a Principal of Highlight Homes. “Our Buckhead home is consistent with our company mission - provide discerning homebuyers with the highest quality homes incorporating the luxury and special features they desire and unexpected touches that make their home a special and satisfying place to live. We are excited to offer a distinctive home that is not only in one of the most prestigious suburbs of Atlanta, but is also located within the highly acclaimed Sarah Smith School district.”
The home was designed by renowned Atlanta architect Stephen Fuller. This unique floor plan is optimal for raising a family and for entertaining. The two-story home is located on North Stratford Road in the prestigious North Buckhead community. Built in a classic English Tudor-style with unique elevations of stacked stone, brick with inlaid stone, hard coat stucco and cedar, the home will offer 5,350 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bath, plus an optional finished daylight terrace level with a bedroom, full bathroom, walk-in closet, game room, fireplace, kitchen, bar area, home theater or fitness room and a second bathroom with a steam shower. The terrace level opens to a covered patio with a fireplace, storage area and optional outdoor shower and bath.
From the terrace level, a short elevator ride to the first floor leads to the state of the art gourmet kitchen, including granite countertops, stainless steel Wolf appliances, custom-designed solid wood cabinetry with soft close doors and drawers, an over-sized center island which includes a sink, serving area and breakfast bar, and a butler's pantry with granite countertop, ice maker and wine cooler. An expansive great room featuring an architectural beamed 12-foot ceiling, custom-designed hardwood flooring and an oversized fireplace, opens via four sets of French doors onto a covered loggia with an enormous 42-inch gas fired, wood burning fireplace, and a full bar with granite countertops, sink, icemaker and beverage station. The loggia wraps around to meet the open-air grilling porch easily accessible from the keeping room and the breakfast area. Also on the main floor is the home office and the mud room, both of which feature built-in cabinetry.
On the second level, each bedroom features a private bathroom and large walk-in closet and a tray or vaulted ceiling. The spacious master suite on the top floor features a his and her walk-in closet, a morning kitchen with granite countertops, a fireplace and a private balcony overlooking the backyard. The master bath features separated dual vanities and linen closets as well as a steam shower with rain shower head, body spray and three independently controlled shower heads, plus a bench and built-in shelving.
